TARIHI DA JIHADIN SHEHU USMAN DAN FODIYO

Asalin sa da kabilarsa

Shehu asalinsa Bafulatani ne da aka haifa a Maratta a cikin kasar Gobir a ranar 15 Disamba, 1754 Miladiyya. Sunan mahaifinsa Muhammadu Fodiyo. Asalinsu Fulani ne mutanen Futatoro a cikin kasar Senegal.
A wajen karni na 15 kakanninsa suka yo kaura daga Futatoro suka zo kasar Hausa a zamanin Sarkin Kano Yakubu. Kakansa shi ne Musa Jaffolo, yana daga cikin ayarin da suka zo kasar Hausa. Sun farzama cikin birnin Kwanni wanda ke cikin Jamhuriyar Nijar ta
yau. Yawanci malamai ne masu ba da karatu, sannan kuma suna karantarwa haka kuma suna ɗaukar karatu a inda suka samu malamai. Wani lokaci su kan yi aiki a fadar Sarakai ko su rika koyar da ‘ya’yan Sarakai ilimi. Suna da yawa kuma sun bazu kusan ko’ina a kasar Hausa.
Shehu ya yi karatu a wajen Mahaifinsa da kuma kawunsa, daga nan
ya yi karatu a wajen malamai masu yawa a wurare daban-daban.
Daga cikin muhimman malamansa akwai Malam Jibirila na Agadas
wanda ake zaton daga gare shi ne Shehu ya samu tasirin yin jihadi,
domin Malam Jibirila ya yi kokarin yin jihadi a kasashen Buzaye.
Shehu ya yi yawo da dama, bayan ya dawo gida sai ya kama yin
wa’azi da karantarwa a wurare irin su Gobir da Kebbi da Zamfara.
A wannan lokacin ya samu kasar Hausa na yin wasu abubuwa na
al’adun gargajiya, kamar su bori da tsafi da haɗa Musulunci da
al’adun gargajiya, saboda haka Shehu ya yi tinanin aiwatar da jihadi
don ya kawar da al’adun gargajiya daga gurɓata addinin Musulunci.
Haka kuma akwai zalinci mai yawa tsakanin Sarakuna. Duk irin
waɗannan abubuwan ne suka harzika Shehu ya sa ya yi jihadi don a
daina cuɗanya Musulunci da al’adun Maguzanci, a daina zalunci da
danne wa talakawa ‘yancinsu, a kuma daina nuna bambanci wajen
shari’a.
Wannan ya sa ya samu goyon bayan talakawa da dama, domin irin
zalincin da Sarakuna suke yi musu.
A lokacin Sarkin Gobir Bawa Jangwarzo wannan wa’azin na Shehu
ya yi tasiri gare shi, don haka ya yi ‘yan gyare-gyare a fadarsa, ya
rage haraji ya kuma umarci maza Musulmi suke yin rawani, mata
kuma suke yin lilliɓi, kana Shehu ya zama Malamin ‘ya’yansa. Irin
wannan sassauci da Bawa ya yi, Fadawa ba su ji daɗin sa ba, domin
an toshe musu waɗansu hanyoyi na samu. Ran ‘yan-bori ya ɓaci
ganin an kara wa Musulunci daraja.
Bawa ya rasu a 1796 Miladiyya, sai kaninsa Nafata ya gaje shi, da
hawansa sai Fadawa da ‘yan-bori suka kara zuga shi, don haka sai
ya soke sassaucin da Bawa ya yi, ya kara haraji aka kuma cigaba da
zalinci. Nafata ya ba da umarnin duk wanda bai gaji Musulunci ba,
karda ya shiga wanda ya shiga kuma ya fita.
Nafata bai daɗe ba ya rasu a 1802. Bayan ya mutu, sai ɗan Bawa
wato Yumfa ya gaje shi. An zaci za a samu kyakkyawan sassauci a
wurin Yumfa domin shi ɗalibin Shehu ne, to amma sai abun ma ya
kara ta’azzara, zigar Fadawa da ‘yan-bori ta kara karfi. Ya hana mata
lilliɓi ya hana maza kuma sanya rawani, sannan ya takurawa duk
wanda aka ji yana goyon bayan Shehu Usman Danfodiyo.
A shekarar 1804 , Shehu ya yi hijira daga ‘Dagel ya koma Gudu shi da
Almajiransa. A kan hanyarsu Almajiran Shehun suka yi mishi Sarkin
Musulmi, kaninsa Abdullahi Fodiyo da ɗansa Muhammadu Bello aka
yi musu Sarakunan yaki.
Bayan Shehu ya koma Gudu, sai mutane suka dinga biyo shi, ganin
haka sai Sarkin Gobir Yumfa ya yi kokarin hanawa, ya umarci
Sarakunansa da kada su bar kowa ya yi kaura zuwa wurin Shehu.
Daga nan suka shiga cika aiki, suka rika kama mutanen Shehu suna
azaftar da su, suna kwace musu dukiyoyi amma wannan bai hana
mutane zuwa wurin Shehu ba. Da Yumfa ya ga haka, sai ya ɗaura
yaki da Shehu a shekarar 1804 , ya samu Shehu a Gudu aka fara yaki
a Tafkin Kwatto inda Shehu ya yi nasara. Aka cigaba da yaki har
zuwa shekarar 1808.
Bayan birnin Alk’alawa ya faɗi, sai sauran kasashen Hausa suka
mika wuya, inda Shehu Usman Danfodiyo ya dinga ba da izini ko tuta
ga Malaman da zasu mulki waɗannan kasashen, waɗanda daga
bisani aka koma kiran kasashen tare da Malaman da aka damka wa
tuta da “Tutocin Shehu.” Wato su ne kamar haka:

Danfodiyo ya yi jihadi a kasar Hausa baki ɗayanta, inda daga bisani
ya kafa daula mai karfi a karkashin cikakken shugabancinsa. An gina
wannan daula ne bisa tsari mai inganci da adalci da kyautata ɗabi’u
da halayen jama’a. (Galadiman Daji; 2008: 5)

YOUTH EMPOWERMERED NIGERIA WORKSHOP

You can now register for the second edition of the Youth
Empowered 2018 workshop!
The Youth Empowered Program is a 3-days workshop in four
locations designed to support young unemployed people
between the ages of 18-30 to build life skills, business skills
and long-lasting networks to transition to meaningful
employment or to start a business.
The goal of the project is to train 100,000 of young Nigerians
by 2020 and empower them with the skills needed to
succeed in the workplace and business environment.
The Program is expected to run through two different but
complementary channels: Live training workshops and e-
learning modules on the platform of the digital hub. The
second edition of the program will be held in four locations.
They are Benin, Ibadan, Kaduna and Enugu while the digital
hub is open to all young Nigerians all over the country.
Individuals who possess the knowledge, experience and
passion for mentoring young people will be engaged as
mentors. They will be part of the live workshops and e-
learning experience and will be available to meet with
participants virtually

NIGERIA POLICE ACADEMY WUDIL APLICATION FORM 2018

1. This is to inform the general public that the sale of online application forms for admission into the
6th Regular Course of degree programme of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, will commence on
Monday 19th March, 2018 and end on Sunday the
24 th June, 2018 . Admission into the Academy is open to both male and female Nigerians of good character.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

2. Interested Applicants are advised to go to the Nigeria Police Academy’s Website:
www.polac.edu.ng in order to obtain or generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code. The RRR code obtained can be used to make payment of
N3,000.00 through any commercial Bank Branch in Nigeria. Applicants must, in addition, apply through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board [JAMB] as well as sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates need not select the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil as a University of choice in the JAMB form. However, only candidates who obtained the minimum UTME scores of 180 which is the Academy’s Cut-off mark in JAMB and purchased the Academy online Application Form will be eligible to sit for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Examination.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

3. Applications are to be submitted online. On submission of the applications, candidates are required to download Acknowledgement Form. Only candidates who meet thecut-off mark will be enabled to download and print their examination cards.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

5. The following are the admission requirements:

a. Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must be Nigerian citizens and must be between 17 and 22 years of age, and must have a height of not less than 1.67 Metres (5 Feet 6 Inches) if male, and 1.62 Metres (5 Feet 4 Inches) if female.

 In addition, male candidates must have an expanded chest size of not less than 86cm (34 Inches for those between 21 and 22 years of age). All candidates must be free from any physical deformity or mental disability.

b. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of
SIX (6) credits at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) at not more than 2 sittings. All Candidates must also have a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics as well as subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen course of study in the Academy.

c. Candidates must also obtain satisfactory scores in both the written examination and the interview and must pass physical and psychological tests of fitness.

d. SSCE STATEMENT OF RESULTS OR CERTIFICATES RELATING TO EXAMINATIONS TAKEN BEFORE 2014 WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

SELECTION EXAMINATION DATE, CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

6. The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil Selection Examination, may be Computer Based Test (CBT) or Pencil and Paper. The examination shall comprise of a General Paper (Section A) which is compulsory for all candidates. It will cover areas such as general knowledge and current affairs, English Language and Mathematics. Other sections are to be selected according to candidate’s Faculty of choice. It will be conducted on Saturday the 14th July, 2018 .

Only candidates who meet the Academy’s cut-off mark of 180 in UTME and above will be eligible to sit for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Examination at the 19 designated Centres. The list of Centres is in the Academy Website. Eligible candidates are to bring along to the examination venue their Acknowledgement Form, Examination Card, current JAMB Result Slip and two Postcard size photographs (3.5x5 Inches) which should show only from the chest upwards. At the back of each of the two Postcard size photographs, the candidates must write their name, State of origin, Examination Centre and signature.

7. Only candidates who are successful in the Selection Examination will be invited for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Board screening and interview . The list of successful candidates will be published on our website and in some national newspapers.

NATURE AND DURATION OF COURSE

8. Candidates admitted into the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil degree course will undergo a combined Academic and Police training for a minimum period of Five (5) Years leading to Bachelor’s degrees and commission into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
